Guest here one weekend failed to follow instructions and caused more than $1000 in damages by turning off part of the heaters in the breaker panel.
If you do not follow these instructions and damage occurs,
We will expect you to pay for repairs.
You Should leave everything just as you found it! If you dirty something up, You should clean it before you leave!
Please replace any food, paper towels and toliet paper you use!
Do Not Change Any Breakers in the Main Panel
You should never have to even open the breaker box!
Turn Off Water Heater ONLY at the breaker at the water heater.
Turn Off Water at street.
Turn Off Ice Maker by raising arm above the ice.
If you untie and use the deck furniture, replace and retie. High winds can blow furniture into the glass doors and break the glass.
Lock All Outside Doors. Make sure all windows are shut.
Turn all Heat Controls to lowest Black mark.
Empty all trashcans.
Do Not place trashcans or any thing else where they are close to any of the heat units.
Turn off all lights including nite lights. Make sure you check porch lights.
DO NOT USE THE UPSTAIRS FIREPLACE
If you have a fire in the downstairs fireplace, open the damper first! Before you leave, make sure the fire is completely out,
clean out the fireplace and close the damper.

TAKE 421 TO 105(left turn, this is at Boone) TO 184
(at stoplight, There is a Lowes and a McDonalds on your left.
You turn to the right) TO BANNER ELK. You will come to a
stoplight where you must turn left or right. Turn left. Go
by Lee's McRae College. Look for the Beech mountain turn on
your right. This is at The Diamond back grill. This road is
very steep and very curvy.
There will be no more turns until you reach Pinnacle Ridge
Rd. At the TOP OF BEECH MTN., STAY ON BEECH MOUNTAIN
PARKWAY. YOU PASS FRED'S ON THE LEFT. KEEP WINDING YOU WILL
SEE Bear Cafe ON YOUR LEFT. AFTER YOU PASS Bear Cafe YOU WILL
COME TO A PLACE THAT IS ALMOST A Y IN THE ROAD. STAY TO THE
LEFT OR UPPER ROAD. THIS IS STILL BEECH MOUNTAIN PARKWAY.
IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE Y IN THE ROAD YOU WILL SEE A ONE WAY
SIGN. AFTER THE ONE WAY SIGN ON THE RIGHT TAKE THE FIRST RIGHT ONTO PINNACLE RIDGE ROAD. Do not turn onto the third road which is Snowbird. TURN DOWN THE fourth road on the LEFT WHICH IS LOWER SNOWBIRD. OUR HOUSE IS THE SECOND HOUSE ON THE RIGHT. House number 108.
When you enter the house, you must go downstairs to the
laundry room to turn on the water and the water heater.
The water valve handle is at the floor at the sink. It has a
yellow handle and the floor is marked to explain. Turn on
the water heater using a breaker located above the water
heater.

INFORMATION ABOUT BEECH MOUNTAIN HOUSE
AS YOU ENTER THE HOUSE IN THE ENTRANCE AREA IS A CLOSET
TO THE RIGHT. HANGING ON THE KNOB IS A BRUSH TO BRUSH OFF
YOUR SHOES. EXTRA PAPER TOWELS, TOILET PAPER AND TOOLS ARE
IN THIS CLOSET. ALSO A VACUUM SWEEPER.
AFTER YOU ENTER THROUGH THE NEXT DOOR WHICH IS NOT
LOCKED A PANTRY WILL BE ON YOUR LEFT. FOOD IS IN HERE. IN
THE BOTTOM OF THE PANTRY IS CLEANING SUPPLIES.
TO YOUR RIGHT IS A BEDROOM AND BATH. THE CLOSET IN THIS
BATH HAS EXTRA SHEETS AND TOWELS. Please use the towels from
the closet. The burgundy towels fade and are for decoration.
TO YOUR LEFT IS A STUDY. THE COUCH IN THIS ROOM MAKES
OUT INTO A BED. IN THE BATHROOM OFF OF THE STUDY IS A CLOSET
THAT HAS A LEAF FOR THE DINING TABLE AND PILLOWS FOR THE
COUCH.
UNDER THE SINK IN THE KITCHEN IS MORE CLEANING SUPPLIES.
PLEASE USE THE LIQUID CLEANSER FOR THE DISHWASHER IT WORKS
BETTER.
EACH ROOM HAS IT'S OWN THERMOSTAT JUST TURN THE KNOB UP
TO THE DESIRED TEMPERATURE. You will need to set them much
lower than you would expect.
DOWNSTAIRS
PILLOWS ARE IN THE CLOSET BESIDE THE CARD TABLE.
IF YOU WISH TO MAKE A FIRE IN THE FIREPLACE BE SURE TO
OPEN THE DAMPER. FIREWOOD IS ON THE BOTTOM PORCH ON THE
OTHER SIDE OF THE FIREPLACE or at the back of the house on
the ground level.
Use the upright VACUUM CLEANER IS IN THE LAUNDRY ROOM
Or in the closet directly above the laundry room.
WHEN YOU LEAVE
1. WASH SHEETS AND TOWELS AND RETURN TO BEDS AND RACKS OR
CLOSETS.
2. BE SURE TO CLEAN BATHS, VACUUM, ETC. TO LEAVE HOUSE IN
GOOD CONDITION.
3. BE SURE DAMPER IN FIREPLACE IS CLOSED AND ALL FIRE IS
COMPLETELY OUT.
4. CHECK ALL SLIDING DOORS AND WINDOWS TO BE SURE THEY ARE
CLOSED AND LOCKED.
TURN ALL THERMOSTATS ALL THE WAY TO LOWEST SETTING.
5. Close all inside doors. Leave cabinet doors under bathroom sinks open.
6. BE SURE FRONT DOOR IS LOCKED AND CLOSED BY SHAKING THE
DOOR. YOU MAY HAVE TO LIFT BY THE KNOB TO MAKE SURE THE
DOOR ACTUALLY IS LATCHED.
